Bill Gibbons and Gil Merkle are retired Air Force officers who met because of their mutual love for classic folk and country music. Both were raised in Ohio, served 20 plus years as pilots in the US Air Force, flew in Vietnam, retired near San Antonio, Texas; though, never met each other until joined by music in the Court Street Coffee Shop in Seguin, Texas in 2015. Both have sung and played musical instruments since high school days. They`ve joined to enjoy music from "the folk scare of the `60s" as well as from similar music genre. Mark Ballard on the bass, recently joined Bill & Gil to form the 'Hard Travelin Folk Trio' Their style and harmonies are reminiscent of earlier years.   Here are a few photos of the trio and a few older ones of Bill & Gil.
